About Notodden Camping

Some of what you can do

We are located right next to the airport and there is sometimes a lot of glider activity here. If anyone wishes, there may be opportunities to see
Notodden from the air.

The closest neighbor is Heddøla, where you can try your luck at fishing.

For those who want to cool off on hot days, there is a sandy beach at Heddøla, located only 900 meters from the campsite, there is also a city beach near the center of Notodden.

The industrial towns of Rjukan and Notodden were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in July 2015, as one of the world's most groundbreaking industrial adventures. Gain an insight into the history by visiting Lysbuen - Telemark Gallery or take a guided tour of the surrounding area.

Blues music is important to Notodden, and we have our own Blueseum. It is located in the Book and Blues House in the city center, where there is also a cinema, library, café, stage and tourist information.

Heddal Stave Church dates back to the 13th century and is Norway's largest stave church. Here you can take a guided tour, visit the gallery or the café in the church barn next door.

Right next to the stave church is Heddal Bygdetun, which consists of 19 listed buildings and furnishings from the Middle Ages up to 1930.

Gaustatoppen is an hour's drive from the campsite. The mountain is 1883 meters high, and at the top there is a fantastic view.
